Correct External Input File

Explanation

Use this activity to correct the input file after it was read and failed to unpack correctly.

When errors are reported during the unpack step and these errors have occurred due to the file data and not the basic data setup in External Files, then this activity can be used to correct the input file before trying to load and unpack it again.

Prerequisites

An external input file must have been unpacked and errors were reported during the unpack step, but the errors are not related to the basic data setup.

System Effects

After correcting the file, the load and unpack steps can be performed again to find out if it is now possible to load and unpack the file without errors.

Please note that reading the file once again will lead to adding transactions to the load. If old transactions from a previous load are no longer relevant, then remove these old transactions before performing the load again.
