Edit Customer Contact and Person

Explanation

This activity is used to edit both person and customer contact data on the Customer/Customer Contact tab.

Prerequisites

The person must have been added as a contact for the specific customer.

System Effects

If person data is changed, the corresponding information will be updated in the Person window.

Procedure

  1. Open the Customer window and query for the required customer record.
  2. Select the Contacts tab.
  3. Select the contact record.
  4. Optionally, click Edit to to open up the Full Name dialog box to change the full name.
  5. Optionally, click the default language for this person in the Default Language list.
  6. Optionally, click the person's country in the Country list,
  7. Optionally, select the applicable roles from the Role list.
  8. Optionally, select the type of the decision maker from the Power of Decision list.
  9. Optionally, select the applicable personal interests from the Personal Interest list.
  10. Optionally, select the applicable campaign interests from the Campaign Interest list.
  11. Optionally, enter a value in the Customer Address ID field manually or select one from the List of Values.
  12. Optionally, enter a value in the Contact Address field manually or select one from the List of Values.
  13. Optionally, select the relevant department from the Department list.
  14. Optionally, enter a value in the Manager field manually or from the List of Values.
  15. Optionally, enter a value in the Manager Customer Address field manually or from the List of Values.
  16. Optionally, set the address as an address primary and/or address secondary by selecting the Address Primary and/or Address Secondary check boxes.
  17. Optionally, select the Connect to All Customer Addresses checkbox to connect a contact to all the addresses.
  18. Optionally, set the contact as customer primary and/or customer secondary by selecting the Customer Primary and/or Customer Secondary check boxes.
  19. Optionally, select the Blocked for Use in CRM check box to block the contact from being used in CRM objects.
  20. Optionally, you can enter a note in the Note field.
  21. Save the changes.
