Create Interest Proposal

Explanation

This activity is used to create an interest proposal. Each user can have only one proposal up at a time.

An interest proposal is linked to the user identity, which enables several users to have an interest proposal created at the same time. The Create Interest Proposal window can only be used by a particular user at any given instance. Further, the same invoice cannot be included in more than one proposal at a time.

Before a proposal can be created, the Accepted Delay value in Interest Templates window must have elapsed. Invoices are excluded from interest proposal if they are linked to an interest template in which the Calculate Interest check box is not selected. If a number of the same  recipients invoices have passed the minimum interest amount per invoice but together do not pass the minimum amount per interest invoice/note, they are excluded in the interest proposal. Interest invoices/notes, credit invoices, prepayment-based invoices and prepayments are also not included in the proposal and thus not covered by interest calculation.

Prerequisites

There should be at least one invoice due for payment.

System Effects

When an invoice is included in a proposal, it cannot be selected and included in another proposal.
