The Set Up Costing Basic Data process handles the registration of Basic Data required for Costing. Within this process, you can:

• optionally define your own Cost Sets.
• optionally define Cost Estimators, and assign them to either one or many parts.
• optionally define Kaizen Cost Reduction Types, and set Cost Parameters.
• optionally configure Multi-Site Costing Rules.
• optionally define your own Cost Elements.
• optionally define your own Cost Buckets.
• assign Cost Elements to Cost Buckets.
• optionally define Cost Templates.
• assign Cost Buckets to Cost Templates, or, if you prefer, copy Cost Buckets from Cost Templates.
• optionally assign Cost Templates to Parts.
• optionally define Part Cost Groups, and assign them to Parts.
• optionally override the default Cost Templates for Part Cost Groups.
• optionally override the default Cost Templates for Cost Sets.
• optionally perform a Where Used Analysis for Cost Buckets.
• optionally perform a Where Used Analysis for Cost Elements.
