Change Contract Status to Lost 

Explanation

Use this activity to change the status of a contract to Lost. If an agreement has not been reached with the customer, or a competitor wins the contract, the contract is considered as lost.

Prerequisites

The contract must be in the Tendered status.

Procedure

  1. In either the Sales Contract or the Sales Contracts window, select the contract which has been lost.
  2. Right-click, point to Status and then click Lost Contract. The Lost information dialog box opens.
  3. Enter the competitor to whom the contract was lost in the Lost To field. Use the List of Values to select from all the competitors.
  4. Enter a value in the Reason ID field. Use the List of Values to select from the valid reason IDs for the reason type Lost.
  5. Additional information can be entered into the Lost Note field if required.
  6. Click OK to confirm.
