Create Disposition Shop Order Line - Component MRO

Explanation

This activity is used to create a new disposition line for the disposition shop order. The disposition line is used to identify information concerning inspection, disposition, modification and repair of one or more parts. When you create the disposition line, you specify the disposition code, the quantity of the specific part number, and an inspector. Furthermore, you must specify a receipt location for the repair part before the release of the disposition line.

If external repairs are connected to the disposition line, an external service order supplier and an external service type must be specified before the line can be approved.

Prerequisites

A disposition shop order must have been created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, there will be a new disposition line in New status on the disposition shop order on which additional information can be specified.

Procedure

  1. Create a new record in the upper table section of the Disposition Shop Order window.
  2. Type a quantity in the Disposition Qty field.
  3. In the Disposition Code field, define the disposition code you have selected for this quantity of parts. Use the List of Values to select from available disposition codes.
  4. In the Required Part No field, specify the part number of the part you are processing. Use the List of Values to select from available parts.
  5. Specify an inspector.
  6. Save your record.
