Define rules for Execution Item Templates

Explanation

This activity is used to create and manage configuration rules for execution items templates. A compatible unit template structure is allowed to hold possible execution item alternatives required by the design. A rule can be defined on every execution item template by adding appropriate rule conditions. These conditions are evaluated, based on the configuration criteria inputs later in the configuration phase.

Un Released execution item templates must exist..

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an execution item rule will be created and available for evaluation.

Procedure

Define rules for Execution Item Templates

  1. Open the Compatible Unit Template Navigator window. 
  2. Select an appropriate compatible unit template in the navigator.
  3. Click the Execution Items tab.
  4. Enter a new execution item template record with a Execution Item ID and Directive and save or select an existing record.
  5. Click right mouse option and select Execution Item Rules.
  6. Create a new rule on the Configuration Rules - Execution Item Template window and save.
  7. Define appropriate conditions and save.

Define rules for Sub Execution Item Templates

  1. Open the Compatible Unit Template Navigator window. 
  2. Select an appropriate execution item template in the navigator.
  3. Click the Sub Execution Items tab.
  4. Enter a new execution item template record with a Execution Item ID and Directive and save or select an existing record.
  5. Click right mouse option and select Execution Item Rules.
  6. Create a new rule on the Configuration Rules - Execution Item Template window and save.
  7. Define appropriate conditions and save.
