Release Compatible Unit Revision

Explanation

This activity is used to release a compatible unit revision or a compatible unit structure.

A compatible unit revision must exist.
If an asset structure is intended to be created, Plant, Class and Object ID must be defined for those units that should be realized as design objects.

As a result of this activity the compatible unit revision will be in Released status.
If Design Object Information has been entered, releasing a compatible unit revision structure will create a Design Object Functional structure in Asset Design.
If the release operation is performed for a single unit, it will create a single design object. The Asset Functional Structure will be created when units in the compatible unit structure is released.
Execution items with project activities defined will connect to relevant project activities and start reporting planned cost/hours.
The material demands connected to procurement activities, will be connected as Compatible Unit Procurement Activity connection object to the relevant project activities.
Material defined to be created as functional objects will be created as design objects.

Open the Compatible Unit Navigator or Compatible Units window.
In the Compatible Unit Navigator window search for an existing record, in the Compatible Units window create a new record or search for an existing record.
Right click on the selected line/lines or the selected node in the navigator.
Choose the option Status and then the status Release. In the Compatible Unit Navigator window choose the option Status For Structure to change the status of an entire structure of compatible units.
