Enter Customer Project
Explanation
This activity is used to define one or more customer projects, sub projects, and
activity combinations for a specific support agreement. If
IFS/Project is installed, you can connect the support agreement to an existing
project.
Prerequisites
- A support agreement must have been entered in the
Support Agreement window.
- To enter a support key for a customer project, a support key
must have been defined for the customer in the
Support Key window.
- To use a project in IFS/Project, the project
should have been first created.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the customer
projects, sub projects, and activities will be connected to a support agreement.

Procedure
- Open the
Support Agreement window and click the
Customer
Projects tab.
- Select a row on the lower table and double-click to create a new
record.
- Enter a value in the Project ID field. You
may select a value using the List of Values only possible if IFS/Project is
installed.
- Enter values for the Sub Project ID and Activity ID fields.
Select a value using the List of Values if IFS Project
is installed. This is an optional step if you are manually entering a
project and not selecting a predefined project.
- Enter a value in the Activity Description field.
- To specify a customer project as the default,
select the Default Value check box. Alternately, once the record is
saved, you can select a customer project, right-click on the table and then click Set/Unset
Default to set the selected customer project as the default. Thereby
discarding any other default setting.
- Optionally, enter a value in the Support Key field.
Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Save the record.(F12) The Local Project
check box will be selected if the project was created manually.
