Define Report Parameter

Explanation

This activity is used to define a parameter for a report. Once defined, the report parameter can be mapped later to technical attributes and to the page break items. By defining a report parameter for a report you can control the data to be displayed in the report parameter column of the report and by defining a page break parameter you can apply page break configurations to a particular report.

Procedure

1. Open the Report Configuration window.
2. Click the Parameters tab.
3. Click New.
4. In the Report ID field, click the List of Values and select a report. A value in this field is required.
5. In the Parameter field, enter the parameter you want to associate with the particular report. A value in this field is required.
6. In the Description field, enter the description of the parameter. A value in this field is required.

Note: The System Defined check box has been selected for a report parameter entered during the implementation of the new reports. All other report parameters entered manually afterwards cannot be set to System Defined.

7. Click Save.
