Define Design Part Codes for Design Part Code Collection on Class

Explanation

This activity is used to define a design part code collection for a design part class and create design part codes for the code collection.

Prerequisites

A class must be defined for the Design Part and in addition, a Design Part Code Collection must also exist.

System Effects

Connecting the Design Part Code Collection to the Design Part class enables entry to the Design Part Code fields for both design parts and objects.

Procedure

1. Open the Class window.
2. Search for the design part class for which you want to define the design part codes.
3. Click the Design Part Codes tab.
4. Click New (+) in the table 
5. In the Code Collection field, use the List of Values to select the code collection for which design part codes should be defined.
6. In the Code No field, enter the code number for which the design object or design part code should be matched against.
7. In the Code field, enter the name of the code.
8. In the Code Description field, enter a description of the code.
9. Click Save.
10. Repeat steps 4-9 to define additional design part codes.
