Punch List Basic Data

Punch List Basic Data refers to the basic data values that have been established prior to working with punch lists and punch items. The established punch list basic data is of the following types:

• Completion Groups - Grouping punch lists by completion groups helps in querying and reporting purposes.
• Item Assessments -  Adding an item assessment type on a punch item will show what action will be taken on the punch item and whose responsibility it is. e.g. Accepted as Internal Repair or Supplier/Sub-contractor Responsibility.
• Item Categories - Adding an item category on a punch item will show to which category the punch item belongs. Examples of item categories are: Preventing Further Work, Cosmetic, Safety Critical, and Functional.
• Item Disciplines - Adding an item discipline on a punch item will show show to which discipline, e.g., functional, mechanical or electrical, the punch item belongs.
• Item Inspection Authorities - Adding an item inspection authority on a punch item will show to which inspection authority the inspection of the punch item belongs. Examples of inspection authorities are: Commissioning Team, Client/Customer or Sub-contractor.
• Item Inspection Types - Adding an item inspection type on a punch item will show to which type the inspection of the punch item belongs. Examples of inspection types are: Site Acceptance Test, Site Survey Test and Witness Test.  
• Item Priorities - Adding an item priority on a punch item will show to which level of priority the punch item belongs. Examples of item priorities are: High, Medium and Low.
• Item Severities - Adding an item severity on a punch item will show to which level of severity the punch item belongs. Examples of item priorities are: Severe, Normal and Low.
